OSCE On Site T&Cs and Disclaimer
Introduction
In this document you will find the terms for P&J VN Tutoring.
P&J VN Tutoring are referred to by name, ‘us’ or ‘we’ as the context dictates. ‘Polly Keene’ and ‘Jacqui Duffield’ both work under the title of P&J VN Tutoring’.
Students are referred to as ‘apprentice’, ‘student’, ‘students’ or ‘you’.
Once you have signed the terms you will be supplied with support by P&J VN Tutoring for the services identified by you (the student) below.
Any service you select will be referred to accordingly, ‘fees’ shall mean any fees charged by Polly Keene or Jacqui Duffield for the provision of Services to the student.
Charges apply for services provided and will be invoiced individually. Please read the following document carefully.
By signing this document, you are agreeing to the following statements:
- You are aware that you should not have to seek additional support
- You believe you require additional support over and above that provided by your training provider
- You are aware practices are eligible to apply for grants to assist with additional support (apprenticeships)(https://form.education.gov.uk/service/Education_and_Skills_Funding_Agency__ESFA__enquiry_form)
- P&J Tutoring will omit liability towards the apprenticeship funding rule E59.3 (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/apprenticeship-funding-rules)
- You are aware you cannot use funds in your apprenticeship service account or government-employer co-investment to contribute financially to the eligible costs of training, on programme or end-point assessment. Costs include any co-investment or additional training and assessment costs (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/apprenticeship-funding-rules).
- You agree that by taking up services with P&J Tutoring you are not impeding upon your apprenticeship agreement/study agreement with your training provider
- You will be prepared in advance for the sessions provided
- You are responsible for your own materials, consumables, and appropriate literature (textbooks, syllabus etc)
- P&J Tutoring will not require or retain any personal data, with the exception of email addresses required to contact students for remote or face to face services
- The support provided is designed as a guide, it is not designed to provide exact answers to examination questions or practical examinations.
Invoicing
Fees are due on receipt of your confirmation email. A deposit of £50 per person is due to reserve your space, the remaining balance is due 1 month before the event is due to take place. All charges are due before the start of services provided. Failure to settle fees before the service provided will lead to immediate cancellation of the services offered.
Confidentiality
Each party to this agreement, including P&J VN Tutoring, Polly Keene and Jacqui Duffield and the Student, undertakes that is shall not at any time disclose to any person, persons, or organisation any confidential information concerning the business, affairs, students, practices, clients, suppliers of any other party, except as permitted by:
- Each party may disclose another party’s confidential information:
- May be required by law, a court of competent jurisdiction or any governmental or regulatory authority
- Neither part shall use the other party’s confidential information for any purpose other than to perform the services agreed between P&J VN Tutoring, Polly Keene, Jacqui Duffield, and the student
Use of Personal Information
P&J VN Tutoring may use your email address to contact you regarding future events. If you would not like to be included in these emails, please notify us on: [email protected]
Disclaimer
RVNs & SVNs are reminded of the RVCS Code of Conduct and should always consult a veterinary surgeon before taking any action or giving any medication.
P&J VN Tutoring, Polly Keene and Jacqui Duffield do not accept any liability or responsibility for any damage caused through the use of their services.
P&J VN Tutoring, Polly Keene and Jacqui Duffield aim to provide guidance to support student veterinary nurses. They do not claim that their support and/or services are specific to particular OSCE skills or training or delivery standards.
P&J VN Tutoring, Polly Keene and Jacqui Duffield do/does not replace the examining body supporting guidance nor do/does not P&J Tutoring, Polly Keene and Jacqui Duffield replace the awarding organisation supporting guidance.
Services provided by P&J VN Tutoring does not replace veterinarian or physiotherapist advice, nor does it replace veterinary care. Information is based upon UK veterinary guidelines, if studying outside the UK you must follow your local/ nation veterinary guidelines and law.
Whilst On Site
PJ VN Tutoring does not take any responsibility for the possessions of the students working on site. Items are left in vehicles at the student's own risk. Students choose to carry out tasks at their own risk.
A first aider will be provided and available on site. A full health and safety and fire briefing will be provided at the beginning of the event. Students are responsible for their own health and safety whilst working on site with PJ VN Tutoring.
Students may be liable for any damages whilst using any equipment owned and provided by PJ VN Tutoring or Vetlink.
Cancellation Policy
Places on OSCE onsite support days are non-refundable. Cancellations are considered on a case-by-case basis in extraordinary circumstances. Refunds are awarded at the discression of P&J VN Tutoring.
If you need to cancel, please notify us by email. PJ VN Tutoring reserve the right to not refund the fees for cancelled slots to recuperate the costs incurred due to that slot not being utilised by another student.
If you are running late for a session, please notify us by email (a phone number for the event on the day will also be provided), with a rough estimation of when you might be available. PJ VN Tutoring are aware of the exceptional circumstances that might occur leading to late arrival. Please notify us as soon as feasibly possible.
P&J VN Tutoring reserve the right the reschedule or cancel a session at their discretion, subject to exception circumstances.
